In keeping with the theme for the month, I'll be working with SATB choral music. In this video post, I show you how to use this facility to exchange the passages played by two different instruments. In TheoryWhile the root is obviously the most important note of a chord from a functional standpoint, I would make a case that the third is at least as important when it comes to actually voicing the chord. Hello, hello! This week in Practical Counterpoint, we begin the section on imitation, so you can look forward to hearing much about that. This week I also am starting the ball rolling towards crowd-sourcing a library of high-quality scores in MuseScore format. We'll discuss this during Wednesday's MuseScore Café, and hopefully return to the subject in the weeks ahead.
